I'll be heading to Japan for three weeks starting on Friday, installing and testing an EA-6B simulator at the marine corps air station in Iwakuni. It's the first of maybe three trips over the next couple of months.

I just wanted to let you folks know so that, in case my access is limited, you'll know why I dropped off the radar for a while. :smile:

w00t! My trip has been delayed until the 30th, and shortened by a week (so I can be back in time for "Star Wars in Concert", though my boss doesn't know what my important plans which I can't change are, so shhh!). :smile:

Though I get a one-night trip to Newport, RI, on Tuesday as a consolation prize. :huh:

Yeah, I hate those whirlwind trips where you don't even unpack because you're checking out the next morning. I prefer to spend at least two nights in a place, and have a chance to absorb the local flavor.

I just got back from Newport. There was frost there this morning! :shock:

Glad to be home. :smile:

But I'm heading for Japan on Monday... :huh:

It rained most of yesterday, dampening (ha) my visit to Newport. We did drive around in the drizzle and check out the mansions, before having dinner at a nice place downtown, though.

Japan? Check out their prices for electronic equipment while you're there. :clap:
From what I read they're better and cheaper than in America.
