I just turned it back on; I think it's off by default and the forum software was recently reinstalled. If we get stuck in molasses again, Trucker might have to turn it back off.

I turned it off a while back due to the forum slowing down. It may have been the server causing the slowdown, so I'll leave it on for now and see how it goes.
The search feature takes every single word typed and places it in a special place in the database. It is a hacky way to do a search, but it works most of the time.
