Speaking of reality
The following was in the comics section of Sunday's paper:
ZIGGY
Ziggy talking with his parrot:
Parrot: ...Try to get your mind off your prolems and look at the BIG picture. I read that there's a new theory that the universe is like a giant HOLOGRAM! and everything that we perceive as reality is a huge projection!
Ziggy: ...So you mean my life could be like some kind of television show?
Parrot: Maybe! ....and NOW even some of our greatest scientists are beginning to wonder if, in reality, OUR reality is a reality program after all!
Ziggy: I just wonder how we change the channel.

Re: Speaking of reality
Poor, poor Ziggy. I don't have those worries. My TV show was cancelled years ago.lswot wrote:The following was in the comics section of Sunday's paper:

I saw a comedian named Vinny Favorito at the Improv last weekend. I'd never heard of him, but the tix were free, so what the hey... He's got the attitude and sound of Colin Quinn, sort of an abrasive Bostonian. Very funny. Apparently he's big in the Friar's Club. Anywho, he had a bit about remote controls....
I had six remote controls in my house. Six freaking remotes. One for the TV. One for the VCR. One for the second VCR. One for the cable. You get the picture. Six freaking remote controls. Are you feeling me?
So I go out and get me one of them universal remotes. You know, those giant things where you can set them to operate all of your equipment? So I get me one, and plug in all the codes for my six other remotes, and I turn on the TV to watch a movie.
But you know that little button on your TV remote that says "TV/VCR", the one that switches over from the cable to the VCR? It's not on the universal remote. So I dig out the TV remote and press the TV/VCR button.
Then the tracking is all messed up on the picture. But the universal remote doesn't have tracking buttons, so I dig out the VCR remote.
Okay. So. I've got seven freaking remote controls..."
