I made it! 28 hours without sleep was no fun, but it was interesting seeing the sun rise in Orlando and not seeing it set until about 24 hours later in Tokyo! We spent the night at the Hotel Ibis in Roppongi (a.. district?.. neighborhood?.. something... of Tokyo). Catching the bullet train in a couple of hours for a 5-hour trip to the work site in Iwakuni.

It's 5:50pm Tuesday at home, and 6:50am Wednesday here. Want some lottery numbers?

Back home. It sure was a long day "yesterday".

I got up at 5:30am JST on Thursday, to get ready and pack.
Rushed breakfast at 7am JST when the restaurant opened.
7:15am JST.. 20-minute taxi to the bullet train station
7:44am JST.. 15-minute bullet train to Hiroshima.
8:07am JST.. 4.5 hour bullet train to Tokyo.
12:30pm JST.. 1-hour local train to Narita airport.
3:15pm JST Thursday.. 12.75-hour flight to NYC/Kennedy.
3:00pm ET Thursday.. Land in NYC, 15 minutes before I took off in Tokyo, lol.
Begin 4-hour layover
7:30pm ET.. 3.5 hour flight to Orlando
12:30am ET.. Dinner at midnight
3:00am ET.. Finally get to bed, 34.5 hours after I woke.

I didn't wake up until 5:00pm ET today! I guess I'm still on JST. I'm glad I have a couple more days to recover before going back to work.

I was back in the office for two days last week, then I had to go to the Navy base in San Diego the rest of the week.

Now I'm off to Ohio (Athens) in the morning. My mother's brother is terminally ill, and I'm taking her up there to see him.

No internet on the farm.
