I, too, thought it might be the software Trucker used but I had nothing to base that assumption on. :scratchhead:
Haha, screenshots. (prnt scrn then paste into psp) works great. :D
And yes, that's what I was saying. The yellow was my screenshot, not the blog. :truce:

OK, so today I got my very first outside invitation to become a 'friend' of someone I don't know. Up front I found that very exciting.

I looked at the invitation and the photo looked familiar which means I had visited the site sometime recently. The photo was of a young-ish female from (so the site says) the Philippines (and she does look Philippino). Not unattractive. But instead of clicking on the buttons available (something like, Accept, Deny, Ignore and Delete) I decided to refresh my memory by going to her blog.

There are nice photos of her and then some nice photos of some members of her family.

So? What's the problem? Why not a "pen pal" from somewhere around the world? Well now, she claims to be very much into religion and indeed many Philipinos are very Catholic Christian. Her site is filled with religious overrtones and symbols and sayings and prayers and such. The thing is there is absolutely nothing about me that would attract her to me. I don't do religion. At least not as an advertising gambit. Besides my views just don't run anywhere near the same course with hers. So why would she contact me? And how did she pull my blog out of the haystack??

Oh, one other glinch in the porridge has her stating that she is a single mom with six children. NOT six pets she considers to be her children. NOT six nieces and nephews she considers to be her children but six children. Now I ain't too bright but I'm wondering just how a very religious woman gets to have six children as a single female?

Osmosis?? :scratchhead:

Anyway I don't think I want to be on her lists of 'friends'. I just don't trust where that may lead.

What do you guys think??

I guess this should be labled a precautionary posting! :)

I think a lot of bloggers get a sense of self-worth based on how many "friends" they have, or how many hits their blog receives, and blindly invite people to link to them. This could be the case.

There are also probably a few who want to convert you and convince you to raise their children.

As far as the self-worth ABSOLUTELY! Especially among the very young sounding bolggers. Some are on the a Yahoo Blog Friends forum, they've been on 360 a month or so and are complaining they only have 100 or so friends so far.

Convert me I considered a possibility but supporting the children is what I fear. :scatter: :outtahere:

Never been there. I guess their Catholicism ain't the same as US of A New Jersey branch of Catholicism cuz when I was a 'yoot' in high school the Newark Monseigneur sent a letter to my home assuring my folks and I that if I didn't attend bible classes he would personally see to it that when I die I'd go to hades. :scratchhead: I guess he had a direct line. :eyepop:

Methinks not also.

Speaking of blogs I have been encouraged to open up more of my 360 blog to "Public" viewing instead of only 'Friends' and Frends of etc etc. So if anyone is interested....or not, go back up to page one in this string where I believe I posted two versions of my blog address. I think it's working the way it's supposed to. :scratchhead:

I am currently having a running conversation with a lady who is originally from Sweden but now lives in Canada. She's a real magician with PSP and always has something attractive and creative to dress up her own blog. If you go to my blog, pick up on the conversation, click on her Icon (she's always changing from a photo of her to an Icon of a cartoon rabbit) you should be able to see her PSP work. Some of it she imports from another account she has over at "Flickr" (now owned by YAHOO!) I believe.
She seems to attract a good group of people to her site so I figured it might be safe. :scratchhead:

A company named Photobucket allows digital movies on blogs;

See if that'll work for you. No, not mine.

That's the lady who lives in Canada but originally comes from Sweden. I'm sure she's mentioned where in Canada but I couldn't find an answer on a quick search. Sorry. If I stumble 'cross it I'll let you know.

I get a lot of spam as it is and it all started way back when I first investigated "Newsgroups". Talk about unprotected! :flame:
