Disaster Has Struck

Post by BevH » Sat Oct 25, 2003 9:28 pm

I may be gone for a while. Tonight at about 8:30 p.m. Central, our house caught fire. As I type this, we are still not sure of the extent of the damage nor how it started, but we do know it started in the garage. I'm at my sister's house right now and will try to check in when I can.

Wow, that isn't good.
Hope the damage isn't too bad and you can get back to your regular mahem as soon as possible.
You can teach an old dog new tricks. :D

Regular mayhem? That's better than irregular mayhem, right?
At least she doesn't live near Sunnydale! That place had all sorts of mayhem, especially around May.

All my Buffy DVDs survived except for the original movie. How strange is that? It's pretty much a total loss although we won't know anything for sure until we talk to the claims adjuster tomorrow.

Ouch.

Course, Buffy always was a survivor. (Not counting the ending of season 5.)

The movie didn't make it huh? Shucks, some funny parts in that. Although really not consistent with the show at all.

I think I can find it somewhere. If not, I can nose around E-Bay. Anyway, I think I know the cause of the fire. Remember I said I got a Spike figurine for my birthday? Well, I'm betting that Spike used that stupid amulet again, and THAT'S what started it! Seriously, though, we still don't know what started it and probably won't until the investigators for the insurance company get finished.
