I got sent to the principal's office in the 3rd grade for doing that.

When he asked me why I did it, I said because my friend told me to, so I got the old, "Well, if he told you to jump off a bridge, would you?"

I said yes.

The principal didn't find it that amusing.

It's always interesting to my how that quote varies from area to area. You heard "bridge" while I heard "roof". We did live in an apartment building. And others I've talked to heard "cliff".

Same idea, different locations I guess.
