My host has moved all my websites to another server.
I have "shared hosting", which means other peoples websites are on the same server. They determine who is on which server by the ammount of bandwidth each account pulls a month. Well, 3 of my sites, this one included, are pulling more than they used to pull, so they have moved my whole account, all 6 websites to a different server that has only a few websites. This means we won't be slowing down other peoples websites.
On wedensday, they will backup the databases (if needed) and delete my sites on the old server. The only thing you may notice is that the forum takes a little bit of time to load. It will only be slow the first time while your browser searches for the new server. After that, you shouldn't see anything different at all. You may not see any difference anyway, as some browsers find new site addresses quickly.
This is just a headsup.

Hehe, drew you all in. You've been here, it's too late now.
You should not notice any more slowness or problems. If you do, please let me know.

The change took place early monday morning. Some people wouldn't know anything about it if I didn't announce it. I didn't notice a slowdown eather. Slower connections will tho. That's why I posted.
Mabe I should rename the thread.......

Ok, so I totally botched this one.
At least you all know why it took a while to load the other day.

Re: Until Wedensday, the forum may load slowly
I've been pulling up the site for the past two days thinking there have been no new messages because none of the forum icons were colored appropriately, when in fact I have been logged out the entire time. The new interface looks just the same whether logged in or out, except I finally realized that at the top it said "Login" instead of "Logout".
The old interface would look different when you were logged out.

That change in interface was a help. Now I actually have to pay attention and read things.
