Re: TV show quote: name the show game
Nope.
I will admit this MAY be befoe everyone else's time (including Moses) but it was a radio show that successfully moved to TV early in the history of TV. It was about a Jewish family living in New York. The actor who played the uncle was charged by the/our/your government of being a Commie during what proved to be the Mc Carthy witch hunts of that era.

Re: TV show quote: name the show game
OK, OK It was a successful transplant from radio to TV titled "The Goldberg's" who lived in a tenement somewhere in NYC. The woman living next door and who's window was next to the Goldberg's window would lean out the window and yell, "Yo-hoo! Mrs. Goldberg."
"...leaning on the doorbell" simply meant someone was ringing the doorbell. I believe the dialogue was supposed to be a translation of the Yiddish spoken by the characters before coming to the U.S.

I was thinking of MASH but you're correct. It could have been any of those.

Re: TV show quote: name the show game
Spock said that many times to Kirk about space anomalies and Bones about illnesses. Are there others who used such a phrase?lswot wrote:"It is something we have never seen before!"
Re: TV show quote: name the show game
I never watched it but I'll guess "Swiss Family Robinson" or whatever the title was for TV.
