Re: TV show quote: name the show game
Is that Capt. Kirk wanting off of that other ship (or was it a shuttlecraft?) before it blows up?
Re: TV show quote: name the show game
I'm not sure because the mind plays tricks. I sometimes associate it with Kirk in a space suit floating free in space but they couldn't hear him so no matter what my mind tells me it couldn't be that scene.Henry J wrote:Is that Capt. May we now try.....

Was that one of the guys on Laugh-In?
Re: TV show quote: name the show game
I thought "The Tholian Web" at first, too. (There are so many nick-of-time transports to choose from, lol.) But I think it was from "The Doomsday Machine".

While the individual in mind may have appeared on "Laugh-In" he wasn't a regular. He was known for that quote on his own show.Henry J wrote:Was that one of the guys on Laugh-In?
Re: TV show quote: name the show game
You're probably correct. While I vividly remember the scene with Kirk I can't get a grip on what went on around that scene. Then again I sometimes remember a scene correctly but appearing in the wrong place in a movie or TV show.brian wrote:I thought "The Tholian Web" at first, too. Re: TV show quote: name the show game
I say that because there was a sense of urgency and impending boomage in Doomsday, whereas in Tholian, he was just hanging out waiting his turn.

Is that something Flip Wilson said? Did he have his own show? I don't really remember that.

Re: TV show quote: name the show game
YES!!
Flip Wilson did have his own show which is rebroadcast on TVLand (old TV shows) in segments. One morning I got annoyed with the news so I went to TVLand and caught a half hour each of bits from Carol Burnett and Flip Wilson and laughed the entire hour through.
