Just thought I'd share this with you.Dear Mike,
I write to you filled with pride from our new Data Center and Headquarters in Columbus, OH. A few weeks ago, I emailed you about how well our move from Kentucky went. It was a great success, indeed.
We finished the move 24 hours ahead of schedule; most websites were back online even 36 hours ahead of time. We didn’t lose a single server. We didn’t lose a single hard drive. We didn’t even have to restore anything from our backups. Not only is this unheard of in our industry, but we’ve also been commended for it by competitors and vendors alike.
We had downtime, and not a small amount. I asked for your patience, and you’ve delivered. So much more than I would have dreamed for.
Mike, for that, all I can say is THANK YOU.
Thank you for being our customer. Thank you for your loyalty. Thank you for sticking around while we work hard to improve our service to you, our uptime and our servers’ performance.
And then of course, there’s the long promised ‘Move Tour’: pictures, humorous facts, crazy snapshots of our move, as well as impressions of your website’s new home. All here.
Enjoy!
The move....pictures too.

I'm glad I'm not the one who had to move those servers.

Like when I got my new TV and after they brought it.....they just started to leave and "Wait" ....they told me at the store you'd connect it to the cable and dvd boxes. Oh, the looks I got. But.....they did it.....after I said: Resistance is Futile you will connect all the cables. Not really.....but, they did 'comply'.

Re: The move....pictures too.
I have a friend who is really needed in any case involving cables, power cords, etc.
I helped him install a new flat screen TV along with a bookcase type unit to go against the wall under the screen with openings front and rear. This was to camouflage the dangling wires leading from the screen to accessories on the bkcase unit. I was more than content to just bundle wire and cord slack into a box (a decorative box that looked like a stack of books) from the rear on one of the shelves. But him....oh no. He lay out each cord, folded each, wrapped each then placed them in the box after binding them with tie wire.
It was beautiful! It looked like a frelling floral design! I nearly had a nervous breakdown watching him be so meticulous.

I don't have the patience for wires. Just throw them behind the bookcase and put a few deco things in front to cover them.
